Valley Corporation’s Fuel & Lube Truck Driver: Luis Young
For this month’s Employee Spotlight, we’re chatting with Luis Young, a Fuel and Lube truck driver who has been with us since March 2020
What is your role at Valley Corporation?
Luis: “Being Hazmat certified, I deliver fuel to equipment in the field, and do mechanical maintenance. ”
How did you hear about Valley Corporation? What made you want to work here?
Luis: “I have a cousin who works here. He was always telling me what a great place Valley Corp is to work, and I was happy to find out that he was right.”
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
Luis: “There are always new things to learn around here. It can be challenging, but also rewarding.”

What is your favorite thing about working at Valley Corporation?
Luis: “I like having the opportunity to work for a forward-moving company. You can be sure things won’t stand still, and that you’ll continue to be challenged.”
How has Valley Corporation’s commitment to updating its equipment affected your job?
Luis: “New equipment is always easier to maintain, and if you keep up with it, you’ll have fewer issues to fix.”
What makes you the best at what you do?
Luis: “I’m a very safety-oriented person. When things are done safely, you’re going to save time by avoiding accidents and delays.”
What do you find unique about Valley Corporation’s culture?
Luis: “Flexibility and understanding. We are expected to be there and do our jobs well, but when life issues come up, we can count on the company to be flexible with our time.”
What are your hobbies outside of Valley Corporation?
Luis: “I enjoy working on my cars, working out, and spending time with my family.”
Any final comments that you’d like to add?
Luis: “Because of the good relations between myself, project managers, and the team, I enjoy coming to work everyday.”
