Lake Zorinsky Water Quality Basin
PROJECT SCOPE
The main goal of this project, commissioned by the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District, was the construction of a dam and the preservation of the land around it. The dam consisted of tree clearing, earthen embankment, DIP drawdown pipe installation, cast-in place labyrinth weir structure construction, storm sewer pipe and manhole construction, installation of riprap, and permanent seeding. This Valley Corporation project began work in March of 2018 and is slated to be completed in the summer of 2020.

- 36-IN ductile iron drawdown pipe
- Construction of a 60-ft wide by 190-ft long Labyrinth weir and baffled chute spillway
- 37,500 CY of riprap
- 39.5 acres of permanent seeding
