Heavy Equipment Operator
JOB SUMMARY
The Heavy Equipment Operator’s duties include preparing and manipulating heavy equipment to ensure appropriate movement of materials and working with coworkers to ensure the projects are completed accurately. Types of equipment that may be operated are Dozer, Excavator, Skid Steer, Wheel Loader, Track Loader, and Haul Truck. From time to time, the job may require shoveling, bending, stooping, and carrying over 50 lbs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Must keep equipment clean inside and out.
- Daily equipment inspections
- Daily lubrication and maintenance.
- Must safely operate company-owned equipment to prevent damage.
- Maneuvering heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials
- Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of personnel and management.
- Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each day
Qualifications:
- To perform this in this position successfully, the individual must be on time, self-motivated, and willing to take care of all Valley Corporation equipment as if it were their own. One must possess a valid Class Nebraska Driver’s License with a clean driving record. The individual must consent to and pass a nationwide background check. The individual must consent to and pass an initial drug screen and also consent to random drug screenings.
