Internship Description

Valley Corporation provides a paid summer field internship to provide experience on how a civil construction project is built. You won’t just observe, but participate through a variety of tasks during the term of your internship

A construction; field internship with Valley Corporation will allow for a taste of the construction industry without making any long-term commitments. An internship with Valley Corporation will allow for you to explore a career path, develop new skills, network with other construction professionals and earn an income while doing so.

Internship Timeline

Valley Corporations internship program is a summer program. The intern(s) will work full time for a Valley Corporation crew, selected by Valley Corporation. The daily hours will be decided by the crew superintendent and can vary day to day.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Performance of the duties will occasionally require the ability to climb ladders, negotiate work areas under construction, use hands to handle objects or tools, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Internship Qualifications

An applicant for the Valley Corporation internship must have the following:

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively work with all levels of personnel and management
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Self-motivated and able to work productively with minimal supervision
• Must have a valid Nebraska Driver’s License
